Dogs Social covers Antwerp, Belgium only, with 96 dog parks from the city's open-data portal. It does not cover other cities, beaches or trails. How do I know who's at a park?
Open the Dogs Social map and tap an Antwerp dog-park pin. The park card shows live check-ins for dogs who are there now and separate plans from dogs arriving later. Presence depends on people checking in and can change quickly, so treat it as useful context rather than a guarantee that a dog will still be there.
What does checking in mean?
Checking in tells other Dogs Social users that your dog is at a park now or plans to arrive later. A now check-in works without an account and lasts for a selected visit window. You can extend the stay, check out or confirm arrival when appropriate. It is a simple presence signal, not a reservation.
How is Dogs Social different from Google Maps?
Dogs Social takes its parks straight from Stad Antwerpen's own register of dog zones: every pin is a park the city officially lists, and the site carries that whole list rather than a selection. Google Maps mixes official parks with entries people added by hand, so it can send you to one that closed and miss one two streets away. Dogs Social also shows which dogs are checked in right now and who plans to arrive later. Directions still open in Google Maps from a park card.
